Yesterday afternoon gas was 2.81,this morning it was 2.89,now it is 2.99 for regular unleaded at 4:45 pm ct.Are they using the extra funding to pay the billions spent in the middle east???Memorial day and the 4th of July are long gone so they can't blame it on those holidays.Maybe the oil companies and invested politicians are getting a head start on Labor day.Chich ching$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The oil companies are just making sure that they hit their minimum profit margin for the year, and if they go above the projected earnings then they will be on track to raise prices for the coming year.

I"d be glad to pay your 2.99 Started out yesterday at 2.89 jumped to 3.09 this morning and on the way home from work it was 3.39. If only my salary would go up so quickly

I guess they were not going to make theiur new profit record for the quarter if the refinery stayed online.

Not sure where you all live, but in the midwest we had bad flooding in Coffeyville Kansas, and it destroyed a refinery. Now, the paper says some stations are actually running out of fuel temporarily. The Nebraska governor just signed a 30 day change in the truck drivers hours of operation because the fuel drivers are spending alot of time waiting at their suppliers for fuel. Our prices went up $.20 over night-to $3.299! Greg

Sunoco had a fire in a storage tank at the Eagel Point refinery tonight. It was not gasoline in the tank, but,I'm sure they will blame the price incress on it.
