I see picture of what other folks on this site work on and enjoy it so thought I would share one of my own.
450# capacity washer/ extractor.64 inch diameter basket, 44 inches deep. Not the biggest but it is a big unit.

Here are a couple pics of a 71B Bucyrus Erie dragline Dad and I refurbished for a customer about 10 years ago. One of the biggest projects we took on and it was about a 19 week project for the two of us. In the end the customer got basically a new machine with the exception of the engine and torque converter, swing gearbox, and main drum shaft.

Then a few of a D9G that was comletely rebuilt from radiator to hitch, from the track pads to the top. The only thing not rebuilt was the ring and pinion which were OK.

Chris, looks like you just finished grouting it in. I work for a Chem manufacturer on MA that produces the soap to go in those. I don't get involves in the machines much any more because I mainly sell to the companies that sell to the machine owners. I do know how important proper grouting is though. One time when I had my own business I went to hook up the feed system on a 50# WE that the in house crew had installed. I told management not to run it the way it was because it would walk. But they put a load in it and it walked. So in house crew tried again with same result. So then they called in the pros from the dealer.

My daughter would put all of them in except the pair she was wearing. She is a believer in 10lbs of ____
in a 5lb bag.

Showcrop, We have had to do that many times. Builder is going to save a few bucks because "how hard can it be to install a washing machine?" Level, bolt and grout are the most important things in a machines life! Then they don't even bother to open the manual.
Which soap mfg. do you work for?

I understand the situation. We have had a front loader at home for well over 25 years. Not this big of course but WAY before anyone was selling them retail.
Big clothes clean better in a big machine...

That machine will hold around 150-200 pair of jeans at a time or 450 shirts!
I will try to find and post a video of a real big machine we just installed.

That is about what I did back in 1990 or so. I worked for a short time for a commercial laundry as a maintenance man. I think I spent more time helping fold sheets etc then I did repairing things. One good thing I could say was there where a good number of cute gals working there

I need one of those, then i could wash clothes just once a year! How long of a clothesline do you need for a load in that?

Makino Vertical and Horizontal machining centers. The one in the pic is our largest horizontal and has the optional 20K RPM spindle. Our vertical has the same. All the other horizontals have 14K spindles. We produce blow molds for consumer goods.

It is Alpha Chemical Services mainly just northeast, although I have a customer in VA and to in WV and I'm working on some in Indiana and Missouri. Another couple years and I may make it across to WA

Dang, Chris, thats a big big Milnor you got there. Put bearings in an 800# Braun pocket washer once, still have nightmares about that!!! Company I used to work for was a Milnor dist but was bought out by my current employer, now mostly 35# and below equipment now. Just not the same.

I bet your the kid who ground all the teachers pencils down to little stubs eh? O.K. I have to know why would I grind up a nice log like that?

The owner of CBI, where Farmboy 1030 works, is a friend. Those logs were probably just for demo. CBI stands for Continental Bio Mass and most of the grinders built are for turning lower quality trees into chips for fuel. Search for CBI on You Tube you will find some pretty intersting chippers That Farmboy 1030 has built.

I work on photocopiers during the day but that's too boring to show any pictures of.
On the side I do custom vehicle wiring, here are some pics of a 55 Chevy I worked on two years ago. Fully remote controlled doors, windows etc. digital dash, power gas door (hidden behind left tail light).........it was a lot of fun. The guy did an excellent job of finishing the car, lots of nice detail work there! Most jobs are not quite that nice, I do a lot of car stereo work and install remote car starters.

(quoted from post at 18:56:55 12/07/11) What do you do F30?

I am a Millwright, Our company builds and repairs commercial grain handling equipment. Not much we won't take on for commercial operators.

The conveyor in the second pic is 285' long and moves 20,000 bushel per hour, The original ones next to it can only move 7,000 bushel per hour. In the first pic you can see the leg belt with the blue buckets on it. We upgraded the old leg from 5,000 BPH to 8,000 BPH with new belt, cups, pulleys and drive.

That's what I was thinking. I'm a carpenter in the process of changing over to millwright. I'm getting my welding certification right now. Have a job lined up at GM Fairfax plant the week before Christmas, then next year at Ford Claycomo plant. Who do you work for?
