Actually, this is open considerably to debate. If you count crawlers as tractors (which most of them were used on farms at the time) there's a paint decision for T-20s to be painted red I believe in 1931.

In addition, on the early, early tractors, there were two tone paint jobs, one of which was red (usually a red and green combination)., depending on where the tractor was getting shipped.
