To all of you who pull an allis Chalmers or a tractor period. On Sunday I went to spring port Michigan pull for the FFA I had to pull the open class which is not a problem I won the 3500 pound class than I went to the 4500 pound class open and I got disqualified for downshifting can anyone tell me how you can downshift an allis WC when you are in a dead pull

Don't feel bad. There's a puller not far away from here who has his own sled and when you read the rules, it almost says right out that they are set up to keep Allis out. Pretty sad when you have to do something like that to keep from getting beat.

Put a shiny chrome plated lever on it somewhere, and about 4 feet from the end, pull or push that lever. Watch the b itchin start!

WOW THATS BAD, US AC PULLERS ARE DOING WELL AND MAKING A STINK AT THE SAME TIME. LOVE IT!!!!!!! GOING TO PUT A LEVER SOME WHERE AND MAKE BELEIVE I CAN SHIFT IT OR CHANGE MY HITCH, WHAT DO YOU THINK???

I had a situation similar to this happen to me at the Tulare, CA Antique Machinery show a few years ago. After coming all the way from Utah & paying a $40.00 hook fee because I wasn't a member of their club; all the while I was pulling the announcer kept saying..."this is only an exhibition pull!!" After my WC won the class I was told that my tractor was not legal because I did not have an operating PTO to check my HP. When I asked to watch the dyno test of the newly declared winning Farmall, I was informed that they didn't have a dyno, but that the other tractor had been checked & was OK!
