I'd like to believe you, but I've seen the pictures of the rusted, busted up junk that they buy.

The 2 row planters come up for auction quite a bit around here so it is fairly easy to gauge the market and know what brings good money. Nobody including myself said the AC was junk but not preferred like some other brands. Like I said before the Pequa JD planters have been a thing here for quite a while now and before they could ask for over 1,000 dollars for a 2 row unit. Like I said before if the OP can get 750 dollars in 24 hours time then more power to him.

If those fert. boxes are still good it would be worth 1500 around me. If I was a little younger I'd make the trip and buy it and replace my old I-H planter.

Does the seller have a 7,500 dollar 8N or 9,000 dollar Super M with Worksaver 3pt hitch that they can sell to go with the planter?

I don't know. I didn't check other ads by that seller. If the OP would repaint that AC, it'd look great on the back of a Kubota.

Allis Chalmers just like you have? The big names will bring much more money but they have to be in good condition. I've seen Ford 309 planters that were poor looking but would plant bring 300 dollars. If you can sell your AC for 750 dollars then more power to you. I just do not see it happening around me.

When it comes to planters AC is a big name around here. A decent AC planter will bring as much as any other brand of similar condition.
