I have been trying to answer a question about governor rebuild by sending the questioner info on another site...a non profit tractor club site. When I try to post the message it is simply dropped. Is it because this site sponsor will not allow any mention of another site?? Just curious....

yep--this site has some rules and a business to run--they also do a nice job with parts. so to play in their playground you have to follow some rules. also keeps their competitors from advertising for free on a site they sponsor.

I think it was in 2003 or so that that group split off from this one after a lot of fire and brimstone being heaved from both sides.
I still think Kim was more than patient with those guys but when she finally banned them she made it complete and permanent.

Interesting, I'm new to the whole thing thus not aware of the past political issues. I note that the original question (about governor rebuild) is gone this morning...what's with that? I emailed the original poster and he did not take it down.

First time to visit this forum. When I move the throttle, the one arm moves but there is no increase in rpm. The other arm does not move. When I disconnect the rod to the carburetor and manually operate the throttle plate, I can rev the engine. What is the problem and how do I fix it? I, as some others on this forum, do not wish to spend $200 replacing the entire governor if there is a simple fix.
