Wheel Horse mower deck replacement

Howdy folks, I purchased a C-105 Wheel horse tractor, with a 42" side discharge deck new, in 1984, love the tractor, and can't make myself buy a new pressed steel version available today, the tractor has been always kept inside and is in great shape except for the mower deck, I want to get a new one, or good used one, mine has been patched etc . several times, and now I'm getting scalping on one side of the deck, I have all the manuals, and have made all the adjustments over the years to keep it cutting well, but I'm out of options, the deck model I have is a 05-42MS02, cost for a new one a dealer here is telling me is around 1000,00 complete, shell alone is 600.00, are there any other decks that are compatible, like rear discharge,later models etc.? Any help or suggestions will be appreciated, thanks, Brad

Brad,
Wheel Horses made after 1973 could interchange decks as long as the model is a horizontal shaft engine equipt. I would look on ebay or check local dealers for a used tractor with a deck, price wise you will come out ahead.

Thanks Bill for the reply, I"ve been checking locally, not much luck yet, also would you know the rear tire size of a 314-8 tractor, I don"t have the precise year, it was bought new in 2000, but may have been at the dealer for a year or two, don"t know how often they changed tire sizes and the toro site just gives a part number. I just bought the tractor via pictures and I know it needs tires, from dry rot, Thanks, again, Brad
