i have a wheel horse c-120 pulling tractor that i have been working on i have recently rebuilt the engine and reinstalled on the tractor and i cannot get the drive belt to disengage the rearend now it worked fine before i took the motor off and i have scratched my head long enough it has to be something im overlooking any help would be appreciated.

Check that belt routed around idler pulley on clutch mech correctly,that return spring for clutch/brake pedal not off or broken,look from left side of tractor by battery into belt cover,check that drive belt on TOP of rail in belt cover,if under belt won't disengage,if your trying to run with belt cover off,clutch may not work as there is nothing to support belt when it slacks up as clutch disengage,belt just's keeps dropping by it's own weight,keeping belt engaged.

yeah i discovered that the problem was that i didnt have the belt guard on my mistake but i didnt think it would make a difference thanks for the reply
