Wheel weight bolts

Can anybody tell me the length the wheel weight bolts are for the split weight for a 1256. I believe they are square head. Anybody have a good source?

MSC industrial supply has square head bolts.

Length is easily determined by measuring the thickness of the weight and the thickness of the wheel center (and any gap from offset as mounted. then add 1.5 nut thicknesses to assure proper hold and ability to get the nut started. Jim

Usually the parts catalog will answer hardware questions. I assume you are mounting split weights with 38" wheels. The book calls out two sizes, 3/4 x 4 and 3/4 x 3-1/4. I assume the first size is for the first set and the second size is for the second set of weights.

I just used threaded rod through the whole thing and slide them on the rods. I also stagger the ends just a bit so I can start them one or 2 at a time. A plank piece to roll them up on so I can start the weight on the rods. I also stagger the half weights so all 4 bolt/rods hold them. About 16-18 inches will hold 3inside and 3 outside. on my 806.
