Where's the oil?

I'm working on a 2-N that had been sitting for many years. The engine and clutch were free. When I took the valve covers and manifold off, every thing was real clean and no carbon. I drained the oil and put 6 qt. of new #3o wt. in it and ran the starter and even though I didn't have a gauge, I got a real good stream shooting out the junction block. Part of that oil I used to fill the filter canister. After several weeks I rigged up a temporary gas tank and cranked it over to try to start it. First I checked the oil and found it was on empty. I added some and it only came up a slight bit on the dip stick. When I cranked the engine, no pressure this time. I used a thin rod and stuck it down the oil fill tube and and found just a little oil showing. the rod tapped on bare metal and didn't show any sludge. Next I dranined this new oil and only got about 2 quart out. No leaks evident. Where's the oil?
 
There's only TWO places it can be... soaked into the ground after dripping from a non-sealed drain plug or cracked pan or STOLEN!

(BTW, NO need to fill the oil filter cannister next time, as it is a BYPASS filter and oil pressure is NOT affected as it gets filled after startup.)
 
As I said, ther4e is no sign of leakege. It is in my shop on a cement floor. That's what makes it so puzzleing.
 
Check the cotter pin drain hole under the Bell Housing and make sure it is open like it should be. You may find that the oil is in the bell housing or like Bob said some one stole the oil for some odd reason. Since you say it is on cement then you would see where it had gone if it leaked out
 
No one stole it because it is in my garage attached to my house. I did check that cotterpin and it seems open, but I might stick a stiff wire up there to see if it is plugged. The radiator is off and when I received the tractor it was full of antifreeze mixture and no sign of leaking and no oil in the water.
 
Yes, I put a full 6 quarts in as I have been putting in my other 2-N for the past 60 years. I checked the bell housing hole again and it is dry. Tomorrow I'm going to get some more oil and start over.
 
That's a mystery. If there's no place for the oil to go, and it isn't in the pan where it belongs, I start looking at my oil jugs and make sure the new ones are really empty.

I think Smoky Bear took it! I decided that it had to leak out, but I can't imagine I wouldn't see 3 quart of oil on my cement floor. I have the now empty 2 gallon bottle. Yesterday I put new in and now I can't seem to get oil pressure. I had pressure before Smoky intervened. I don't think those pumps can be primed, so I'm in a quandry now.
 
You can prime the pump by squirting 90 wt oil in the pressure relief valve port on the front of the engine. More you can get in the better. Remove nut, spring and plunger.
 


which way does the plunger face? to cylinder #1 or towards the water pump? i took mine out and i am second guessing my beliefs... thanks for yo r help.
