which would be the best tires

Next summer i want to pull my IH 766 at our local stock tractor pull.I plan to pull in the 10000 and 12000 lb classes. I have allready widened rims to 20 inches. Would i be better running 18.4 firestone radials or 20.8 bias tires? I can't seem to find any 20.8 radials. Thanks Kent

I would go with the 20.4's

If it is all stock the 18.4 Firestone will be a good tire... where I am from if you had that tractor in a "stock class" it wouldn"t matter much it would be out classed by the "stock" 1066 that is blowing black smoke and turning out 3500 rpms.... if it is a pace pull you might be alright... have fun with it and enjoy...

At our local pulls, the 1066 can't pull till the 12000 lb class. The tractors that wins the 10000 lb class are 966's. They will be tough to beat. I'm just pulling for fun. Kent

As long as you know what you are getting into... if you have the 18.4s on try them you can always go bigger... Just my 2 cents....
