White 2-85

hey guys know where there is a 2-85 with pretty new bush hog loader on it.question is what motor is in it,and how hard is it to get parts for? the steering box in the front support also needs to be rebuilt.he also has a 2-88 with a bad rear.any help is appreciated.thanks

thanks,i was thinking perkins but wanted to be sure.what are the key similiarities between the 2-85 and 2-88?and what oliver tractors do the parts line up to?

About the same as a 1755 only with the Perkins upgrade. pretty much the same machine other than that.

Double check the engines. An early 2-85 will have a dot 1 Perkins while a 2-88 will have a dot 4 Perkins. Also this all happened after I was gone but late 2-105 tractors used a dot 4 so I would guess that a late 2-85 will also have a dot 4 Perkins. Many differences between those and the Perkins in an 1850.

Same as an 1855.

I believe the 1855 is turboed and runs about 105 hp while the 1755 is non turbo with 86 hp same tractor otherwise

The rear end on the 1755 & 1855 are practically the same as a 2-85, but the engines are not.
