white 5400 planter

does anybody know what the specs are for the hydrolic cyleder for the 5400 mine came with out a cylender to raise and lower it and can anybody tell me y the plate that the bottom of the cylender ataches to swival up and down is it made to do that?

I use a 3x8" hyd cylinder. The pevit at the end of the cylinder alowes you to retract the cylinder and remove it.Hope this helps.

Should use a stantard 8 inch stroke cylinder. 2 or 3 inch diameter piston would be sufficient. I use a 2 inch x 8 inch cyl for my 4 row planter, works great.
