Who made case 1390 tractor engine ??

a freind of mine has a 1390 case tractor & he needs to know who made the engine for the case 1390 tractor.
we are trying to find out so maybe we can find parts to repair the engine or find another engine for the tractor

Case sells parts for them still, they were built in England in the David Brown facility. The whole tractor was a David brown design with a Case appearance. Check with your local dealer for help locating parts, most reputable dealers will even help find you used.

they do not have any parts for the 1390 tractor engine in stock,so need to find out who made the 1390 diesel engine,it kinda looks like a detroit diesel engine.
does any body know if it is ??

The whole tractor, front to back was built by David Brown at Meltham Mills in Yorkshire England. Some engine parts are available through non genuine sorces.

VC, It is built by David Brown as myself and the other poster has stated previously. Just because a dealer has none in stock, that does not mean they are not available, most items not stocked are just a day or two away special order.

When you order parts through your case dealer always put a K in front of the part number. I have very few problems getting parts from case. They probably won't be stocked at the dealer but they can get them.

It is definitely NOT a Detroit Diesel. Follow the adice of the other posters and go to your Case dealer!!
