Why no strong M's on video???

I've been around enough pullers to tell that its a 4 cylinder plus I know it for a fact. High winding 4 bangers have a sound all of there own.It has am MD block from what I've heard. Many years ago I had a friend that pulled a turboed M that ran pretty good.

No way it over 1000hp. If it was 400 cubes that would have it running .40 cubes for every hp no way. Im not saying its not a nasty runner but not a 1000hp.

The announcer in one of the videos says 1200 horses but that may be stretching it some. The M is 370 cubes,is injected,is on alky, and runs a 3x4 turbo so 1000 hp is possible.Thats 2.7 hp per cubic inch. You can gets lots of power out of an alky engine if you are williing to run it lean and risk burning pistons. The M has to pull against diesels with 470 cubic inches and can beat them.

Brent Long in MO builds 598 cube IH 6 cyl alky engines that make in the neighborhood of 4000+ horses using multiple turbos.Thats 6.7 hp per cubic inch.

Heres a pair of Brent Long 6 cyl IH engines at work in Larry Roberts modified puller. They are competitive against 4 blown Hemis that run 9-10,000 horses.
