hey everyone... been slammed with work and have had no to time to research a question i have, thought maybe someone would know off the top of their head. i have a massey ferguson 135, and may use it as a backup while im rebuilding the engine on my ford. but my hangup is, will a M-F 135 pull a heavier landpride 6 foot brush hog or is it too much to put behind er? i dont want to drive the 135 into the ground so i wanted to check. thanks for any help.

I use a MF35 to pull a Landpride 6 foot rotary mower in 3rd gear with no big problems. It'll have a tough time in 3rd cutting grass higher than 2 feet and cutting uphill, but you can always shift down to 2nd or take a narrower cut.

It will do the job- in low range, first or second max, and a normal pto speed- 15-1650 rpm. and don't be affraid to use the live pto with your left foot- often. Use some judgement in tall, thick, unknown brush. So? you are repairing the Ford in order to sell it and buy another Massey?
