Windshield wiper blades

I recommend the "Triple edge" silicone rubber blades. I have had them on both my vehicles for a couple years now, and I love them. They have a lifetime guarantee, they work great, they only cost a little more than the standard "el-cheapo" blades, and they are readily available at Wal-Mart. HTH
Good Luck and God Bless

after changing wiper blades then use the orange methanol wiper fluid too. This stuff melts ice/snow better then the blue fluid by far.

Can you get just the blades anymore, all I'm seeing in the stores nowadays is the complete unit - not just the rubber edges.

When I worked at my friend's shop we had amco, trico, several different blades and blade refills and it was always a nuisance, our supplier from Carquest talked us into using their products "Exactfit" blades...they were the best thing we ever ran across..they fit! They went on the vehicle they were designed for without adaptor fittings and ends..they snapped right on ..they Fit!! We sold more, had simple installations and the customers were happy with them, I wouldn't go anywhere else for wiper blades.
A few tricks I learned..take a swab with rubbing alcohol on it and clean your blades, it removes the road scum/oil,dirt/wax build up, the rubber lasts longer. Use "Rainaway" on your windshield, you will have a clearer view, water beads off and wipers sweep more easily across the winshiels. Rainaway also fills the pits in a windshield caused by road dirt, sand etc and your winshield appears clearer and has a new glass sheen..No I don't work for Carquest! I wouldn't use anything but exactfits for ease of installation.

Got to go with the silicone blades too. I've got them on my old J-10 that sits alot. The rubber ones tended to dry rot and never be any good when I needed them but the silicone one's have been on there for several yesrs and still work at good today as the day I put them on. Not to mention since it doesn't have intermittent wipers they don't chatter as bad ad the rubber ones when there isn't anything but a mist.

Excuse me, for some time I have had issues with wiper blades but it never occurred to me to post about them here on YT. What can be more simple or straight forward than wipers? Guess we are never to old or wise or unwise to ask for help. Thanks for the posts.

ray, you are referring to refills. when i started selling parts there was two kinds...anco or trico. that meant clips on the end or button on the top. now there is about 8 different kinds of refills and they are not brand specific. also, there are alot of vehicles now that have wipers of 2 different lengths so to get refills you would actually end up buying 4(1 set of 20 inch and 1 set of 24 inch"it is less expensive many times to buy 2 complete blades. napaguy

Thanks For all the help. Anymore you have 30 diffrent options and your info will help narrow my search Jim
