Hi,we had abeautiful day in Mn. yesterday 40 degrees, today 0 with-20 windchill not a better way to break the boredom than to stir it up a little (controversy)how about a tug of war, farmall 1466 vs.4430 JD.Lets hear it which won would win?

I don't know the horse power on ethier of the tractors,
But to evean ut the field I'm beting on the 4430 to come out on top.

Useing the Nebraska state test numbers the 1466 had 11 more drawbar HP than the 4430 and wieghed a little more in the tests. The 14 pulled 8637 lb while the 4430 pulled 7211 lb.The 1066 was more equal to the 4430.

I have a friend who is a deere man ,a few years ago he was custom choping inslage fo a man when the PTO went out on his 4440. to finish out the day he used a bone stock 1066. his first words to me were "damn that thing has more power than my tractor"

Neither, there would have to be a big mismatch in size for one to win.Usually when you chain two back to back they just spin down and anchor themselves and there they both sit.Mark
