wiring route

is there a correct or incorrect route for the wires to take from the switch on my tea20 to the front and rear lights... i know it sounds a bit silly, but how does the bonnet lift if the wires to the front lights have been routed incorrectly.

Please save this web site for further reference: http://www.fergusonenthusiasts.com when you get there click on "Restoration Helps" then scroll down to "wiring diagrams" then click on your model and voltage. If you look in your TEA 20 parts book I am sure you will find a somewhat detailed diagram of how the wiring should be routed. If you look at the diagram and use just a little imagination you should be able to wire it just like it came from the factory. Using both of these resources should be no problem.

Route the wiring within a length of copper tubing along the bottom edge of the oil pan to the front of the engine (mine is on the left side with clips to the oil pan bolts) and then cross over to the side of the front grill (end the tube with a flared end at the front of the oil pan). Run the wires up to the one light and then cross over at the top of the grill to the other light.

Correction: Should read top edge of the oil pan. I would also extend the copper tube forward of the oil pan so that it would be just within the hood when it is closed. Helps to keep wires from getting caught.

Go to the website Richard mentionrd and select article on Lights and you will find a detailed description of how the light wiring is to be installed.
