won't Start

my 1976 Ford Tractor 2600 won't Start unless I Spray QuickStartin the breather, what could be the Problem,I Installed New Carburator, New Solenoid, And did a Full tuneup

Why a new carburetor? Did it have the problem before all of the parts installed? If it needs starting fluid it must not be getting gas.

IT was runnings ok until I installed a New Muffler, then it started running bad And missing So I gave it the tune up, No Luck,I figure a New Carburetor could be the Problem, since I never replace these items besides a tune up in the 7 years I had it was due

You said this all started AFTER you put on a new muffler.

Take the muffler off and see if the problem goes away!

There was and old prank people would pull, they would stick a potato in the exhaust pipe of a car, The car would act just like you are describing.

You see an engine must have fuel, spark and compression in order to run. It can not have compression if the exhaust is plugged.

As Keith Williams said take the muffler off.
Engine is an air pump, if no air can go out no air can come in. If no air comes in it can't pull gas in. You might be getting gas to the carburetor but it's not going into the cylinders.

Strange thing is that I can run it for An
hour Cutting grass with my finish blade
before it runs rough and the engine racing
then it cuts off

What was wrong with old carb & relay? 99.98% of all non-starting issues are due to incorrect wiring. 12V right? Did you perform the Fuel Flow Test? Can put OEM carb back
on and test first. Put OEM Relay back on, and motor test starter motor. FYI, all new aftermarket stuff is made in Cheena today and they do not have any QC there so don't
think you can install a new component out of the box and expect it function well.

My 72 2000 used to be hard starting. Needed ether at anything under 50 deg. The points were down to almost nothing. A new set of Blue Streaks and
it's been good in the coldest weather.

I would start by removing the muffler and returning it to it's last known working state... That shouldn't be the problem unless
for some reason it's internally restricted.
Beyond that I'd suggest it's running lean. Possibly the float is low, the idle jet too far closed, and vacuum leak between the
carb and engine, etc.

won't Start, removed the Exhaust Muffler and check if it was clogged up everything Looks good there, tried to START it with the muffler OFF and on with No Luck, now I'm removing the Aftermarket Carburetor I ordered And installing the old one back on AFTER cleaning it up, I'll Keep you posted on the Progress,I have a 1963 Bonneville And a 1964 electra 225 which basically work In the same principle that I service every year and runs great

Main difference between those cars and your tractor is the tractor has an updraft intake. Other than that they do operate on the same basic principals, they need fuel, air, compression and a good spark at the proper time.

I always thought that the old potato in the tail pipe trick was to cause an explosion.

Before you go through all of that.... remove the drain from the float bowl and see if it has any gas in it. Might be that the fuel
pump is not working...
