I have now come into the 21 century Finally got a DIGITAL CAMERA . Now all i have to do is spend the next two weeks figuren on just how the hello to work this new fangeld contraption . Was going to get a nice little simple Sanyo a couple weeks ago but when i went to get it they were out and not going to get anymore as when the old stock is gone they are going to bring out the new models . Well this evening after supper the War Dept and i went out to just go wonder thru Lowes and over to the Wal Mart in Alliance . Well while at Lowes the wife find the wall plates for the plugs and switches that she has been looken for that were only avil. thru spec. order , well someone must have ordered them in and never picked them up and they were on the reduced rack out in the middle of the store at over 3/4 off list then i found the band saw blade that i thought i was going to have to have made special got that . Then across the street to Wally world and went back to look at the camera's . Well they had the little Sanyo and it was instock when the sales lady came over and we got talken and she told me that if we come back tomarrow that they will have a 20% off the sale price Well i was just about ready to do that when she told us that oh heck if ya want a camera since you are from out of town i'll give ya the 20% off the sale price tonight I said any camera she said any camera with the red dot . Well if thats the case then why not go for the one that i have had my eye on that has kept coming down in price , when i first started looking at it it was 249 then came down to 229 then 199 and on sale for 189 less 20% chiching it is home and already took one picture with it of what else the dog. SOOOOO boys ya'll are going to have to walk me thru the steps on how to post picture and i'll give ALLEN OF NE. a run for his money since spring is coming and i am sure that ya will love the picture of the field work.

TV, If you have a grandkid things will be so much easier. If not you'll figure it out. Best things since sliced bread. David.

I recommend Photobucket.com as a place to upload and store photos online. They have a free service that will do OK, and the pay service is reasonably priced for nearly unlimited posting of images, etc.

The digital camera has saved me hundreds of dollars of printing bad pictures from the old 35mm camera! Heck, I don't even print much anymore - just send people to the Kodak or WallyWorld site and they can print whatever they want and pay for it themselves! LOL!

Can't wait to see some pictures of the stuff you work on! :D

The first three tips (more to come as needed):
1}Let it do the work on auto most of the time.
2}Use the flash only within 10 to 12 feet of something, it just doesn'twork farther out.
3}read up on close focusing to make clear shots of tiny parts (the gizzards of an MCV, or the like) JimN

You know. As soon as your wife figures out that she can just take the memory card to Wally World and print off only the photos she wants. You are going to have to buy another one if you want to use it.

After that your wife will want the printer that you just put the card in and print the ones she wants.
We have 2 printers now. A little one for trips. And a big one she uses at home for scrap booking.

GRAND KIDS , you got to be kidding me GEEESSS Vettett is worried more about her carrier then guys as she has not found a keeper yet and Beth is still in collage . Ya have to keep in mind here that i was 29 when i got married and 36 before Vettett and 41 when Beth came along . I was to busy sowen my wild oats and haven tomuch fun to settle down . Plus when i came back from Nahm i was not all together , i almost got married a couple years after i got back but well we had a fight and being hardheaded i just went my owen way and sorta ran wild.

Good for you. Digital is the only way to go.My Kodak Easy Share C633 is Shirt Pocket size but takes big Pictures and with the compatible Printer it is so simple to save any Photo Shoot I want. Will be looking for Spring Time Photos of your area in the near Future.JC

That is great Tractor vet!

Now you can teach us younguns how to work on distributors, carbs, etc with pictures. I already am going to start using high test in my tractor. Additional information you want to share would be appreciated.

Good for you!!! My advise is to buy GOOD rechargeable batteries and charger. They tend to eat batteries, need to carry spares if you are going to take many pictures. Get a big card, the one that came with ours only held about 18 pictures, got a 256 in it now and will hold over 250 pictures. Nice when you go to shows, like being able to edit pictures and get rid of bad ones and take another till you get on you like. Learn how to make a copy to disc, I didn't, and a lightning strike took out computer and I lost a bunch that I wish I had back. Still haven't figured out posting multiple pictures yet, maybe someday. Thinking about buying another one for me to use outside and keep one for good. Frustrating at first, but worth it when you get it figured out. enjoy, Chris
PS Here is my 400 last summer

Great vet. Hadn't seen you around much. Miss hearing from you. Someone mentioned grandkids.

Look for a site called "flickr" My son has an account there. He posts pictures of the grandbaby and we can log on and see them minutes after they are posted. real neat site. Not sure how it work, I just know I have it bookmarked and check it every few days for new photos.

yeah-
it's amazing how NOTHING 'bout computers is simple for me (my college computer program project was stored in a shoebox of punchcards, not a CD!), but absolutely intuitive to a modern 9 year old like my girl.
even my 3 year old knows house to work the mouse- at 3, the only mouse i knew about was Mickey

I'm on my second SamSung. For my purposes, I just like the way the controls and features are laid out.

When I'm on the job as an insurance inspector, I sometimes take over 100 photos a day. I leave home in the morning with freshly charged batteries in the camera and a spare pair of freshly charged ones in my pocket. Sometimes I have to change during the day.

Looking forward to your pics. Don't forget to crop/scale/resize the picture with the program that came with the camera before you post it. What comes out of the camera is huge and would take up the entire screen. About 3x4 inches or 320x240 pixels is good.

My favorite part about digital is you can see what the picture looks like as soon as you take it, and you don't have to keep or pay for every picture you take so take a lot. Keep it with you everywhere you go. You never know what you can catch. This little one's dad is a CaseIH man. The B my Grandpa bought new in 1948.

Is that a current photo or is that a picture from before you went into hiding after getting beat on your Allis by my 10 year old grandson on our 8-n Ford? [the indoor tractor pull at LaOtto Ind] He still has the 3 ft. trophy in his room. We heard you might have moved to Kansas or somewhere out west,LoL.
