You really should get one of those JD 4020's sure they cost more , but just think how much more it will be worth at your next auction.

Just think how much more of a pain it would be to crawl on with fenders in the way. Our H with a 3 point is a challenge to crawl on and off of sometimes because there is not enough room to get between the light bar and the fenders from the front. I've been saying for a long time that I will move the fenders out when I get around to it. Does anyone know where I might find a "round to it"?

ya still need an oily rag under the seat for wiping off the hydraulic couplers, a corn knife laying on the deck between your feet, a tool box bolted to the frame rail by the motor, and a hemp rope tied to the hitch pin !!!!!!

I was thinking about hanging one off the drawbar mounting bracket.So much more civilized mounting a tractor from the side.I guess I have some figuring to due.Hope your snow melts so you will leave that old girl alone for a while.

Is the step the part that you added? How did you mount it--looks real clean.

I was about to mount a 3-point on my M, and never thought about how I'd climb aboard.

Yeah,

After I put the 3-point on, all of a sudden it was a real pain getting up on the old beast 'cause there was nothing to step up on.

So, I found an old factory step off of my Hydro 70 laying out in the shed, took a piece of strap iron and hung it from the pulley drive so as to have something to bolt to.

Darn thing really works slick now.

yep...know how that feels. i like to do extra on stuff too when i have it torn apart. like " well that paint looks a little faded so while i have it apart, might as well paint it." or " well that seat is kinda wobbly... and the cushions are londa torn..." or " boy this is missing a few parts on the 3pt....time to go to the junk yard!" or " well as long as i have the engine at the machine shop...might as well bore it a little"

Am I seeing things or is that actually a PTO shield. I though everyone took those blasted things off before they did serious work. If you were closer, I'd say when hay season comes put my John Deere 630 and IH 1190 haybine (Ohh, my ears will bleed from all the woe I'll get for using a John Deere to pull a IH haybine)against your rig. Keep up the good work.

i mounted a step to left side of hitch on my "H". picture will show it and the platform i built that clamps around the left axle housing also.
