Z oil filters

Where are you guys going for Z and R oil filters? I went scouting around to our local parts stores and found the last 3 in town.

Someone already has. There is a post on this MM forum dated 9-02-08.about Loren in Minnesota fabbing adapters to use spinn on oil filters on the R & Z MM. There is a long spinn on oil filter available that looks Just like the original Cartridge type when painted in MM colors. He sells these adapters for $35.00. This includes shipping.

I think you can get a stud adapter and plate through Wix to work. Maybe have to fab a special one? I didn"t find it? Loren"s post said he is using the 2 qt. long Chevy truck spin on filter Wix 51794. Wix catalog has all kinds of adpaters I haven"t tried one yet on MM to see what will work we put a stand off base on another stationary MM because a ignorant dealer didn"t tell me the catalog listed those other adapters until I had the other filter on.

You can find several spin on adapters in the Wix catalog surely one will work?

So the Wix 51828 for MM 206L engines won"t work or is not available? Napa filters cross to Wix too.
