Just thought I would let you know since you responded that I got the tractor running today and it was out on the valve timing by a tooth on distributor. Also the points needed adjustment. I got it running fairly well with the Chinese carburetor but not while on an incline. Bought a kit for the Marvel Shebler and now it runs like a new one. Thanks for your advice.

If I was any help, you are welcome. David
Did you get the boot, haven't heard from you in a while. Supposed to be almost 60 here to day. Mud is firming up. I maybe shoul see if my planter is still in the shed, worked last year, maybe a couple more. No calves yet should be a couple of weeks yet. Hope all is good with you and Jen. Jim

So far as I know I am still welcome to post but have been rather preoccupied as late. One of my boys had a medical emergency, detached retina, and I have been kept busy driving him in to Toronto for surgery and follow up appointments. He appears to be doing well.
Spring is really dragging its feet here, but will come in due course. Genny and I are both doing fine, and I hope this note finds you folks in the pink !

I wish your son success with the detached retina. My sisterinlaw has been plagued with that four times. She has always had quite thick glasses but they don't really know what triggers it. She is the one that walks 30-35000 steps everyday, they go to AZ for 6 months of the year.
I have a question about a high crop 70 John Deere I owned once a long time ago for a short time. Its first use was on a mounted beet lifter in Minnesota. The right brake turned forward in stead of backwards like the usual two cylinder brakes. I was told that it was driven internally by a chain instead of a gear. I've asked two old time mechanics and looked on the Internet and can't find the answer to this question

Mornin all. Newbie to the forum and looking forward to accessing all the knowledge pool available here because I am gonna need it. My tractor is a Ford NAA ( nearest I can tell) and I just aquired her last week. She’s very pretty but has some issues when it comes to mowing. I’m currently just assessing the situation and have lots of questions and can’t wait to get started.

i take it you are refering to the 3 point hitch lift, if so drain the transmission fluid ,remove the 3 bolt cover under the diff housing there is a wire mess strainer for the hitch pump above the little cover , ( replace it )and the fluid , don't waste time trying to clean it . it took me pulling the lift cover and removing the pump 3 times to find the solution to the problem.

Thank you for responding. I had no idea that was even there, I just went and checked and see it!
I will try that next. Thank you!
Do you use any specific oil/fluid, or just whatever you can get locally?

Looking to see if you have a scanned parts page for a Long 1199B 3pt Backhoe. I need the part numbers for a cylinder seal kit for the circled cylinder. Thank you.

Restoring a 1946 Farmall B - Got it running before restore, mud dobbers filled every available space, split apart to clean clutch. One brake is not working right, converting to 12v neg ground with coil and points. Gears look good. Water sandblasting after the weather improves, then prime and paint.

Hello I got a D 282 motor to put in my 503 motor grader . I need to know what starter a D 282 requires ...Thanks for any help.
Hi Rob,
Did you receive a bad storm, snow or ice? Did you have to use your 484 for snow removal?
We were on the very northern edge and only received 4" of snow, farther to the south of us got 14" to 2'.
