The offset Fords seems to be thicker in tobacco country, southeast states and Kalifornia. East central Missouri must have had some great Ford dealers because there are zillions of Fords around here. Last fall I saw a Ford 541 sell at estate auction for $4600. and it was non running but straight. Another estate sale is coming up May 18-19 near here with dozens of rough Fords including 2 offsets.
clutchpack has been rebuilt..
however, I am struggling now with the process of of engaging the pto as it will not go over center on the shaft.
I have been told that possibly this model has a 540 and 1000 pto option. is it true that the 540 needs 11 plates in total and the 1000 needs 9.
any suggestions would help.
thank you

This is a follow up to my earlier post about planting oats, back in March. They have now been harvested (swathed and baled) , 62 large rounds, off of 20 acres, and today I was hauling them in with my 4020 and stacking (5x6) them near the farmstead. Even though the windrows were rained on, they were still in pretty good shape and should make some good cow feed.

I'm a little behind on this forum as since they changed the format I don't find a way to access an email like we had under the old system. Can you you clue me in?

I just saw your post for 410 backhoe with no forward from back in 2017. Did you ever get that sorted out? I have 410 with same issue but I just got it home and haven't had time to troubleshoot. Sounds like you went down same path I was about head down so figured I may try what you found first.
