Howdy Folks, just joined and placed an order for a few things. About 6 months ago, I upgraded from an 52 8N to a 59 871 SoS with a front end loader. I'm looking for a good used PTO Cable assembly with handle and attaching hardware. So far, everything seems to be in good working order other than the PTO as its permanently engaged. I'm sure its no big deal, but I like everything to function properly. Thanks.
finally the clutch pack along with shaft has been removed. I am considering repairing the pto shaft oil leak.
Is that a huge job?

My 1720 Ford Tractor wont turn over. I have good power all light are on. It is neutral. Just bought the tractor. It ran good when it was purchase. Got it home and won't turn over.
I am posting here to see if it reaches you or not.
If it does, it is not a private conversation.
Which needs to be looked into.

If it only gives the ability to restrict who can post, that wouldn't help anyway since it's who can read that we are interested in. Sounds like they've made profile posts visible to all at all times.
I have finally removed the snap ring in front of the power take off clutch pack on the Cockshutt1650 tractor.
Am I correct that now I should be able to pull the clutch pack and shaft out towards the rear of the tractor, or is there anything else that needs to be removed.?
bmaverick, I found out the model # of the Yanmar Backhoe, It is a YBH736, do you think there is a pdf file or manual available for it? Thanks, Mike
My aunt had a Rambler American. I was given the job of driving it to the store on a Sunday afternoon(maybe for beer?). I pulled out of the lane, put it on the floor and was doing 58mph at the first crossroads a mile away. Not too quick!!
Dave, I posted a tax question. I just was wondering, I closed on a rental property on Jan 31 of 2023. When I figure the depreciation for 2023 (only Jan.) I simply multiplied 31/365 times the yearly depreciation value of the property for a normal year. Does that make sense? I couldn't find a clear answer from IRS instructions.

Rentals are pretty trouble free in terms of IRS attention. It is generally understood that these are used to generate losses that can be used either currently or in the future to offset other income. That is why the whole passive activities concept was adopted back in the 1990's I believe. Making money is a good thing.

Are you still a CPA? What kind of CPA work do/did you do? Also, what kind of farming are you involved in? I'm just curious if you don't mind me asking?

Last tax question if you don't mind. On that rental sale...when figuring the capital gains (4797) do I use original purchased price plus eligible closing costs and then the sale price plus selling closing costs? I assume yes.
We exchanged a few messages a while back when you got a Ford 503 rake. Did you ever use it? Seemed like you stopped posting about it. Anyway, do you still have it or any parts? I need the reel drive pulley for mine. The one behind the PTO shaft bearings, part no. 146607. Would you have one?
That plow is a IHC #8 little genius

I found numbers and was just coming back here to let everyone know! Thank you!!! I'm not sure what all it needs yet, but it definitely needs a back wheel (furrow wheel?) I know next to nothing about plows, but I'm pulling all kinds of implements and parts out of the woods from my grandpa's farming days. I'm 53, and 3rd generation on this farm :) By the way, will the 1938 B pull this plow?
if you are anywhere near I81/southern tier of New York, I have a 3 bottom 311 fast hitch plow I would sell. Only drawback for some fields is, it is not a trip plow, so if you have rocky ground, probably not the plow for you.

I fed the Bison, they were happy to see me. They've been foraging in the woods more than usual, due to less heavy snow cover this year.
