    I am working on a jd 50.I put the cover on and it is too tight .Do i need more shims and if so what size? It only had 1 shim and i put in new bearing

    I got governor gears and wts ,the shaft and thrust bearings .the whole works from a late model B to put in a 50 ,the main difference I see is the weights have 2 fingers instead of 1 . Will this work in a 50?

    I think it is thrust bearing .I got the gears out but 1 weight disappeared ,where could it have went?

    I broke governor gear and weights in a 50 jd, put in another set and broke again what is causing this?

    Got the tractor started and it idles good but when you give it gas it runs too fast looked at the governor don't see anything wrong put back together and started still same thing. Does anyone have any help
