    I have a John Deere 730 diesel and just below the hydraulic connectors for the remote cylinder, I have a leaking freeze plug. I removed the freeze plug, drained the hydraulic fluid to that level, and replaced the freeze plug and used RTV this time. Same result, it leaks. Any ideas to fix...

    O/T Mystery noise 04 jeep

    It could be your front driveshaft cv joint centering ball wearing out if it sounds like a bunch of squalking birds underneath the jeep. Had the same problem on my 99. Search "angry sparrows".

    I recently picked this cast iron part up. Has a JD sticker on one side, and US Pat #'s on the other side cast in. The Pat #'s are 3412587 and 3230761. Any idea what this is and what it was used for?
