    Service manuals

It's to provide a known good reference. If things are there that shouldn't be there or someone else tried to add wires to fix something that didn't fix a problem or did something wrong that caused a problem, knowing how it's supposed to be bring you back to the beginning.

    Service manuals

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on the best service manual for their Super A. I picked up one from tractor supply, but it seemed like it was missing some stuff, so I picked up one that was blue and white (can't think of the name), but the ignition section didn't talk about a distributor...

    John Deere 314 bagger system

I'm looking at picking up a John Deere 314, but I couldn't find where to pick up a bagger system. I've seen other posts and such about a power flow, but I can't find a place to pick something up.

Farmall Super A generator wiring help.

Its not going to a restoration piece, just trying to keep it how my grandfather has it to be. I'll post some pictures next time. The issue was that it's hard to tell what wiring diagrams out there are trustworthy, and anyone who had any idea about anything with this tractor have long since...

Farmall Super A generator wiring help.

Thanks for the reply. I'll post some pictures next time, but yeah, that's how I found it to be a ground. It probably hasn't run in decades and the last people who knew anything about it in my family have since passed and probably wouldn't have known anyways, so I was checking my voltages and...

Farmall Super A generator wiring help.

I have a mystery wire on the same harness between the generator and battery. It's a ground wire, and from what I can tell, it shouldn't be there by looking at diagrams onlinr. The issue is that it was my grandfathers tractor and no one really kept up with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Farmall Super A ground cable location.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I was on track with the other reply.

Farmall Super A ground cable location.

Yeah, the top rear of the battery box with the bolt to the right is what I'm referring to that I'm thinking it went to. I'm trying to keep the tractor as it is for the most part since it was my grandfather's and I inherited it to keep it going to the scrap yard. Thanks for your reply.

Farmall Super A ground cable location.

Does anyone have a picture of where the ground cable would bolt to on a 6 volt Super A? I have an idea, but the cable wasn't bolted in place when I got the tractor. I'm pretty sure it bolts to the hole closest to the pedals on the steering wheel side of the box.

Need some help to identify the model.

Yeah, I wasn't sure because when I first looked at tractor data, it only had the one size on there for the Super A.

Need some help to identify the model.

Thanks for all the replies. The tractor is currently at my parents house, so I don't get to see it every night. I looked for the number on the block and think I may have found where it would be, just need to clean it off since the numbers weren't visible. I do have another question in the...

Need some help to identify the model.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I wasn't sure how to honestly tell them apart from apart aside from the serial number plate and the wheel size. Especially since the model number portion could possibly be partially wiped away since the model number isn't stamped like the serial number and rpm are.

Need some help to identify the model.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I figured the tires were wrong, which was pretty much the extent of what I knew. On the serial number plate, the model was an FAA which I read was a Super A. When I look at the post, I can't see the pictures I added, but they must be there since you saw the rear...

Need some help to identify the model.

I brought my grandfather's tractor home to save it from the and have had some issues trying to identify it. The stick on the engine cover lists it as a Super AV and what I gather from the serial number is that it's a 1949 model. It appears that the front axle may be the high crop version? The...
