    doesn’t have points any more, spark plugs are just fine, adjust valves? never had, battery cables are new and are clean,,,,,,i still think it’s a carburetor adjustment

    on my ford 8 n tractor when starting a cold engine it takes about five tries to start it. just putters a couple times and dies , when it does start engine turns over slow then picks up speed, then it runs ok. i put a new carburetor on it could it be a adjust screw problem?

    does a pto turn all the time while the tractor is moving i know there is a little handle on the right side of the tractor that you step on the clutch and shift it handle to either engage the pto or shut it off, it still stays on,,,,i have a 8n ford tractor

    i put a new screen in the sediment bowl and turn the gas back on and it was running gas out. the bowl was full of gas all the time i had it running. does it sound to you if it’s not getting fuel?

    i had to buy a new carburator for my ford 8 n tractor, it ran good for about 10 minutes, then i parked it, now the only way to keep it running is having the choke pulled out a little then it runs good for about 20 seconds, then cuts off and dies, i tried adjusting the fuel and air mixture...

    i just put a new carb, on my ford 8n tractor, when cold it barley wants to turn over finally it turns over slow then will roll run ok.is that a air fuel screw adjustment? i already adjusted the carb when you pull down on the throttle,where is the fuel air screw located if that’s the problem,,,

    no it idles ok at lower side of throttle , i just give it full throttle to help it keep from dying out, but hey thanks i’ll try that adjustment and let you know,

    when i start my 8n 1950 tractor i let it warm up a bit but when i try to move if i don’t put the throttle on high it tends to die out, after awhile the engine seems to be ok is this a carburetor adjustment issue! it idles ok on low throttle , is there two adjustment screws on that carburetor...
