    Wide vs skinny tires

    Does wheel speed have anything to do with the width of the tire? I have seen pretend farmer pull and he is just creeping along. Other tractors that pull where I pull have narrow tires and they use low gear and go slow. Tractors with wide tires seem to use a higher gear. This is for stone boat...

    Find a CA - or swap a CA transmission into the C. The four speed transmission is better. I put the four speed in my C - did a bit of motor work - fun little tractor but I pull stone boat - 2500 lb and 3500 lb class.

    Fluid film question

    I got the frame pretty clean - Probably rustoleum primer and top coat it with an enamel - Then maybe before winter hit it with fluid film if I decide to spend the money or try the linseed oil and atf or bar and chain oil.

    I have a truck with some surface rust on the frame. Anyone ever use Fluid Film as a rust preventer on a truck. If I scrape/wirebrush it and pressure wash it and apply the Fluid Film would it help or is there another product? Thanks

    FRONT TIRE'S - LOOKING FOR WIDER ONES ?

    I got some last year - 6 lug 14" - I found them online - I think the place was down south - Tennessee maybe - had all kinds of tractor and implement rims in all kinds of sizes and offsets. Try google and search for tractor and implement rims. Might find the same place.

    timing an allis chalmers C

    So if I have compression stroke on number 1 - I line up the fire mark on flywheel - turn magneto backwards to number 1 - hang the magneto - turn slowly to center - it should fire at that point? Thanks

    The service manual isn"t much help in how to time the tractor and reinstall the magneto. What is the proper procedure? There are 2 marks on the flywheel - center and fire - I can view them from the bottom. What does each one mean? If number 1 is at top dead center which mark should the flywheel...
