Ford 851 input shaft seal
Thanks for your help. Yup- this worked out well. Relaced to two seals from the CR seals sold at Napa. Worked great. Lubed the needle bearings and the internal bushing and shed all back together. Thanks for your help! -

Hydraulic pump gear 861 Diesel
Interesting. I split er apart and removed the clutch, flywheel, cover and hydraulic pump gear. Everything was tight and cleaned the faces. But the gear face where it clamps to the cam is not ground in the same plane as the gear face. So it wobbles about a 1/4”. I drove this tractor this way for... -

Question for you all. Has anyone seen the hydraulic pump drive gear, (the one on the end of the camshaft) be bent? Mine has about a1/4” wobble as the engine cranks (pump off). Ford 861 throw out bearing cross shaft bushing
Working on my Ford 861 Diesel- the cross shaft that rotates the throw out bearing - those bushings in the bell housing are shot. It s a 5 speed with a dual clutch. The shaft is 0.990 diameter and the bushing look like about a 1/16" wall ( probably 1" ID, 1 1/8 OD), about an inch long. Does... -

Does anyone know the "dash" number for the oring at the bottom of the injector pump. Mine got pinched and is cut ( must have swelled some). I have a kit now but trying to guess the right size isn t working. -

Ford 861 diesel neutral safety switch
Yes- unfortunately it s been sitting for 35 years out in the rain. Everything is froze up. But I tapped it few times on the button and I finally got it to move. I ll check it for continuity. Maybe it will still work! Thanks for the help. -

I need to replace the neutral switch. Can I take the top off the transmission? I m thinking the top will come off and the forks will disengage. But my books said I have to remove the trans and pull out the drive gears. I m thinking that s not right, that switch should be a fairly serviceable... -

Hi all, Wondering if someone could tell me how to best clean and paint my Ford diesel fuel pump. It s a 58 861 diesel.
