    Carb replacement I.D.?

I have a Ford 800 that needs carburetor replaced. Not possible to rebuild. The ID tag on my Marvel Schebler carb is TSX-593 with a part #EAE-9510-E. Having a hard time finding an exact rebuild with those numbers. I can find rebuilds that say they are for a Ford 800 but have a part #EAE-9510-D...

    8N oil pressure?

What is an expected oil pressure at cold start for my 8N? Then what is a safe operating oil pressure after warmup and under a load?

    Marvel Schebler carb identification

Is part number starting with EAF indicate it’s a 172 engine?

    Marvel Schebler carb identification

I also have some numbers on a brass tag on the side of the Marvel Schebler carb off of my Ford 800 that I do not understand and I’m looking to either rebuild or completely replace the original carb? There is a number 1 with a space and then a 56, which I believe would show it was built in the...

Carb rebuild on Marvel Schiller on Ford 800

Have a Ford 800 that was running but rough. Took carb apart to clean only cause had put new parts in carb one year ago. Made adjustment to float per info from this sight but now no gas to cylinders, spark plugs are dry after cranking. Thinking I need to readjust float level but not sure what or...

No spark on my Ford 800 after new points

The #18 stranded wire was crimped on each end to an eyelid connector. However I must have tightened the outside of distributor connection too tight to allow that eyelid connector to make contact with inside of distributor as you mentioned. I added some rubber washers inside on that stud and...

No spark on my Ford 800 after new points

I never said the #18 wire that I replaced was bare. The wire itself is insulated, but I will check to make sure it’s not shorting out to the inside of distributor case.

No spark on my Ford 800 after new points

I saw a similar post on this site that said to check the ballast resister on an 800 and they had a photo of one on that post. Now I know I had one on my 9N but I can’t find it on the 800. When I ask Google it says it has one. I’m confused

No spark on my Ford 800 after new points

So this wire should go from the negative side of my 6 volt battery to the negative side of the coil during these tests?

No spark on my Ford 800 after new points

I have a Ford 800 with original 6 volt system that I wanted to tune up. Changed points and properly regaped them, also new condenser and rotor. It was starting and running before but now have lost all spark. Put old condenser and old points back in but still no spark. I also tried a new coil but...
