    3000 steering box issue

Thats just it, I can put that bushing over the shaft when its out of the case and spin it line a top and when I tried it on the other shaft it worked fine too. The bushing is not tight so I guess it has to be in a bind from the there end, just cant figure from what.

    3000 steering box issue

Shawn, yes I tried switching bushing, still did it. Only thing new on the sector gear line are the outside seals and the opposite side sleeve bushings. Drive bushings are original. New sleeve bushings are by no means tight but I guess there could be an alignment issue there. ???

    3000 steering box issue

Mike, I can't even get to the setting point, as seen in the second picture there are no caps or adjustment screws in place and it's still bond tight. Almost has to an alignment issue, but I can't see how.

    3000 steering box issue

I'm rebuilding a steering box off a 3000, it's the type box that has the drive bushings and when I go to install the bushing for the rear sector gear shaft it binds up the shaft. The shaft will turn freely before it is installed, but as soon as I start driving it in it will bind and not allow...

    3000 steering gear assembly

3 corn plots and 2 clover, just the opposite for me, too much rain washed all the nitrogen out so the corn is looking a little weak. It might come out if it. I might disc one up and try some turnips. Clovers not bad but weeded as hell, dont guess my little furry friends will mind though.

    3000 steering gear assembly

UD, thx Ill get extra seals...as far as the bushings in the cap I dont see one listed for those either except that big one they call a bushing driver. Maybe best to take all the parts to bearing house and have them size them for me. Thx again. PS. Hows the food plots coming along this year?

    3000 steering gear assembly

Thats exactly what I was thinking, they came out easily and dont look to be damaged. No way to tell if theyre worn or not though. Ill measure the shaft and the bore and if I cant find a replacement Ill put them back in. Thx.

    3000 steering gear assembly

Im attempting a steering gear box renewal on my 3000. Ive got it removed and broken down for cleaning and inspection, I removed 2 bushings and seals from the holes the steering arms come out from and tried to find a part number for replacements. To my surprise they were not shown in the...

    Napa Coil Number

Will the IC14SB 12 Volt coil from Napa work well on a Ford 641 12 volt with no external resistor? Or is there another number for their coils I should use?

    3000 steering shaft

I'm working on a fence rowed 3000 streering box, the journal where the upper seal rides is badly pitted to the point i don't believe a speedi sleeve will stick even with sleeve retainer. I am thinking I would chuck the shaft up in a lathe and turn it down a little then make a bushing to fit...
