    Prices

    What's a fair price for 3 7/8 high dome pistons rods and sleeves. All have less than 30 hrs. on them in great shape. Also have a 6 button 11 in clutch disc in great shape. Stock starter just freshly rebuilt and these parts are for an 88.

    LJD, Sounds like you've picked up the "pump shops charge too much" banner from jdemaris (:>) I have the skills, but can't find a manual. Do you (or anyone else) know where to find the manual? (preferably a free download, but I don't mind paying a reasonable price if I have to).

    Thanks, but can you say for sure whether it's a JDB series? As I understand it, the JDB series is newer, and therefore rebuildable. If it's NOT a JDB, then the rebuild parts are no longer available, and my pump is junk. (My understanding may be wrong, but I think I got it from other postings...

    The attached pictures are the injection pump on my JD350. According to jdparts.com, it SHOULD be a John Deere AR69817 (Roosa-Master JDB331AL2732). The id plate is missing, so I can't be sure what pump I really have. It has the "mouse turds" in it that jdemaris describes in other postings, so...

    Understood, but I use the machine more like a dozer than a loader. I mostly use it to maintain logging roads on my land. I scrape, push and back-drag, and don't do all that much sharp turning.

    This is how I solved my problem. I added 1" thick shims and replaced the bolts with longer ones. That pushed the cylinders 1" farther onto the pistons, which seems to be enough to do the job.

    I replaced the 12" street tracks on my JD350 loader with some 14" grouser tracks from a dozer. Now the grouser pads hang on the loader's frame, causing the packing in the track adjusters to blow out. If practical, I'd like to pull the 14" grouser pads off their chains and have someone cut them...

    I got lucky -- the linkage isn't broken after all. I adjusted the big yoke on the outside of the inspection box to lengthen that part of the linkage by about 3/8". That caused the shaft to rotate a few more degrees, which in turn allowed the brake adjuster screw to contact the boss squarely...
