    best stuff for preserving and prolonging tire life

    Talking about tractor tires ofcourse. What product is the best for keeping them from dry rot, etc. I think the Ultra Violet light is at fault for that, but what snake oil do you guys put on your used tires to make them look and feel like new.

    do sleeves need to be replaced

    Worn piston rings / sleeves dont have an affect on oil pressure. Most likely, your main and rod bearings have worn enough to reflect the drop in oil pressure. BTW.. what kind of oil pressure are you getting at operating temperature? Keep in mind, these motors have solid lifters, unlike todays...

    OK, Last post about my rear axle. 48 8N #103589. I want to make sure I have all the necessary seals. I have 10 pack of shims, 2 of the 8N4284 cork composite seals, 2 of the A8NN4248A retainer / seals. According to the exploded FO-4 manual view, it seems that I will need some additional gaskets...

    hydrolic lift problem

    Pete, Is there weight on the arms? If there is no weight (implement) hooked up, alot of times the arms wont come down on their own. Cold fluid contributes to this effect.
