    16.5 Briggs irratic charging

I have a Agco Allis 1616H I was suspicious of it not charging correctly so I have installed a voltage gauge so I can monitor the charging. What I am noticing is the voltage is very inconsistant. When I first start the mower and engage the blades the voltage is around 12volts or slightly below (...

    16hp briggs carb info

Well the mower is now running. Turns out it was not a fuel issue at all but something I did. I installed new coils as mice had chewed the wires of the coils and ground harness that was in it. I made a new ground harness. I did not inspect the old harness close enough but the factory harness has...

    16hp briggs carb info

The plugs have not been removed so considering I have all but given up on this carb I dont suppose I have anything to lose by removing them. Worse come to worse I'm at the same point if I dont find an issue behind the plugs. Thank you.

    16hp briggs carb info

Thanks duner I am familiar with aisan brand carb I had one on my 86 ranger and it was junk aswell lol. I kinda figured I was heading for a engine swap. I know a guy that races lawnmowers and he buys up as many 16hp twins he can find as he rebuilds the parts and sells them to other racing...

    16hp briggs carb info

I posted a bit ago about a agco allis lawn tractor with a 16hp briggs and stratton twin not starting. I have figured out that it is a carb issue. I have had it apart many times and it has also been ultrasonic cleaned and it is still not passing fuel and it is not the fuel shut off being the...

    16hp briggs starting issue

It has been awhile but here is a update. It is a carburetor issue. It will run on brake cleaner but its not getting fuel through the carb to run. I had a guy that races 16.5hp briggs engines put the carb in the ultrasonic cleaner but still did not help. Problem is this carb is a Arsam brand carb...

    16hp briggs starting issue

I have not checked the valves as I figured I would get it running first, run it for a few minutes then check valves but yes bent push rods would effect the timing drastically. I will pull the covers tomorrow and check this. At very least if they are fine it's one more thing off my list. Thank you.

    16hp briggs starting issue

I aquired a agco allis 1616h riding mower with a 16hp vangaurd v twin engine. It has not run in 2 years but was stored inside. I removed the engine cover and found mouse nest and damaged coils. I replaced the coils, drained fuel and oil and refilled. I have good spark but it will not fire. I...

    winter oil grade

Oil grades seems to be one of the most misunderstood. Multi grade oils have pretty much replaced straight grades eg. sae 20. Multi grade oils is identified by the w in the number eg 10w30. The multi grade is explained as this for 10w30 the w stands for winter so in cold temps the cold oil will...

    Massey 135 1972

Hello Monty I might be able to help you out. I inherited my fathers 135 with the perkins 3cyl gas engine and it would only run with choke on aswell. The fact that it only runs with choke indictates that it is running very lean. Considering you just acquired the tractor I would suggest carb...

    Blue grease

The color of grease is just a dye. Different colors do not represent any thing about the grease or its application. If you are curious castrol makes a brand of multi purpose grease called "pyroplex blue" We used to use it on greased hubs on transport trailers that had greased hubs.

    Hydraulic controller for MF232 loader

I put a loader on my mf135 that I inherited from my father. I purchased a 2 spool single lever control valve with float. I chose this style of valve as I work with a lot of case construction tractors/ backhoes at work and they are 2 spool single levers so its just what I am used to. To explain 2...
