2N Radiator Cap
Hello Chuck I might be wrong but i think the stamped cap is the newer one for the new pressure radiators. The cast one i think is for the older non pressure radiators... One of the other guys may confirm this or know the right answer. BULL- BULLinAR

Loose PTO Coupler
Do you mean the over run clutch or the PTO coupler to the implement? the implement coupler has a little play in it. The over run clutch shouldent have much play but i have had some that did but they worked just fine for years. BULL- BULLinAR

Jumpered Ignition switch
Yes flames would be a good indication of a problem... your tractor is 6 volt so remember it is positive ground and you might use a cotinuity tester or multi meter to see if you have a short on each side of the switch..
