    ZTU radiator question

The radiator in my '48 ZTU was in pretty bad shape. I asked a Moline shop to sell me a replacement ZTU radiator and I had it pressure tested and it checked good. I noticed when comparing my original radiator to this new one, the inlet and outlet are different. Were there different radiators...

    ZTU water pump question

Thanks everyone, I ordered a rebuild kit yesterday. It's a bit frustrating, but much less frustrating than running the risk of running the engine hot

    ZTU water pump question

Yeah we already have had to work with the fan.. It had way too much play

    ZTU water pump question

Is a little front-to-back play in the water pump pulley normal on these? Spins fin, just moves slightly back & forth when you push on the pulley. This is a used water pump that was sold as ready to go. I haven't cranked it yet, but now I'm thinking maybe I should find a rebuild kit to be on the...

    Engine petcock question

Correct- the threads on the stem. Sorry I wasn't more clear. It's like a little green halo at the base of them, so not actively dripping but I'll try some thread sealant

    Engine petcock question

Light pool of it on the threads, not dripping off and doesn't appear to be growing any bigger with time. Did not use sealant this time, I realize I should have

    Engine petcock question

I installed a new petcock on the engine block of one of my VAC Cases. After tightening I opened the valve to make sure it worked, then after closing, I notice a little residual antifreeze on the threads of the petcock. It's not dripping steadily like the old one but you can see a little green...

    Rod bearing question

I have rod bearings that are marked 9785 sb No other numbers I can find and I tried to order more bearings based on the 9785 sb, but I'm going to measure to be 100% certain anyway now My helper says "sb" means standard bearing more than likely. We plan to measure the journals this weekend to...

    Z clutch

That is why I asked, I found the adjustment ring. I can tell this clutch will need adjustment. It doesn't "snap" when you move it forward. It doesn't present much tension at all, so I was looking into adjusting it. Thanks for the help

    Z clutch

On a ZTU clutch, the piece where the arrow is pointing to, that looks like a bolt head, moves vertically up & down, I can’t find any reference in my manual, so sorry if dumb question but I’ve never been in a Z clutch before.. but is this supposed to move or is it supposed to be stationary and...

    ZTU question

We had to move a non running ZTU due to a tree falling on the barn it was originally in. The engine is taken down to the crank when we moved it. The guy helping me who steered the tractor said he made sure the hand clutch was Not engaged, but said after the fact he wasn't sure if the tractor was...

How bad would Zau rears stand out on a late ZTU?

You're right based on what I've seen. I can't swear to it, but I think I read that ZA rims are same as a John Deere A or B, maybe one of the other members can confirm or deny
