    transmission would be the big thing with these if it has been abused or needs parts then you will have probs,parts for the trans can be very hard to find, you could try dbtc.co.uk should be lots of info on the hydrashift trans there. hope this helps tom

    a 990 crank wont work 4"stroke 4/49 engine, a 995/6 1200/10/12 crank will fit same engine as the 1210 4.5"stroke 4/55 engine. hope this helps tom

    would just cut through the seal with a hacksaw or a hacksaw blade you will have to replace the seal anyway case should have them, atleast with the pump off it should be easier get the stud out

    hi oliver i normally use grease around the front axle where it the manual suggests sae 140,tried using 140 oil in a grease gun had no probs going thru the gun its thick enough to be liquid grease. tom

    the front axle carrier frame is the same on both models hence 995/6,really nice david brown though you wouldnt see as nice a one here they are well rusted by now.

    sounds like its the powersteering oil seal that maybe has got cut or damaged in some way shouldnt be too hard to fix,im not sure if you will have to dismantle the pump to get the seal out.hope this helps, tom

    hi cuttman 1000 hours is very low,a 1410 is about 90 hp give of take a few hp, a 1410 not being hydrashift the trans is a lot simpler,they have wet brakes better than the brakes than 1210/12 and other smaller ones.hope this helps. tom
