    Ford ? Model

I have a friend who ask for info on his ford. I can't find it. Serial No. is 128965 with diamond on each end. It's blue, but that don't mean anything. It has a roll type hood as NAAs and there is no front round emblem. It does have a half moon on the front of the hood roll about the size and...

    starting issues

I had the smae problem a year or so ago. No effort with carb. or timing seem to help. My sulusion, drill a hole in the "S" shape air cleaner pipe. Clean the pipe throughly to remove all shavings. Size the hole so a bolt will plug it. Your first start, remove the bolt and spay in starter...

Hydraulic lift control forks and control valve

You may or may not need to replace the "T" valve. It slids out the back and the new one slids right in. The two prongs are sprad apart and slip onto the end of the "T" valve. I did notice the two prongs going down to the "T" valve seem to be spread apart. If so it will probably slip off the...

    Shutting off Gas

Not necessary. There is a drain in the bottom of most carburators which allows the fuel to slowly drain out while sitting up. It's call air horn drain.

    New Project

I bought an 8N one time that had a hole as you discribed. Owner told me the "fork" in the clutch shaft would turn because it was worn. He would stick a rod in the hole and put it back in place. It was happening so often he elected to get rid of it, to my good fortune. I pulled the tractor...

    8n or 9n?

You noted all the differences and it is a 9N. I had a simalar argument with a gentlemen and he proved I was wrong by producing the bill of sale stating it was an 8N. I told him the bill of sale could say it was an elephant but it was still a 9N. Some people just want hear the truth.

    2N in frame?

If you want an experience that will make you feel good and have accomplished something, get you a local 8N or 9N owner that has overhauled an engine. He can give you a list of things needed to strip the engine down. Once stripped, he can talk you through the installation of a top end kit. Kit...

    Sandy visits the Garaj Mahal

If tree is dead or living doesn't make any difference. The adjusters are so busy up there that they will probably just drive by and throw money out the car window.
