    435

They probably got pulled and jerked on by throwing a chain onto the front axle more that the gasssers. However it is not uncommon, I understand, for the front center piece on the row crop utiity or W models to have been abused in the same manner. My 420 W has had considerable repair done to...

    420 what to look for????

yes the #35 loader will lash right up to that model. However, I have heard that a loader on a 420 without power steering is a bear, but that may be rumor since i would expect ahead of time that the steering could not be turned with a load on the front unless the tires were rolling. I hve also...

Advice on which tractor to buy

Speaking of that 600 bushel grain cart. We just finished up here in Central IL. I drive tractors for a neighbor and he hauls in his grain with wagons that hold around 630 bushels. One tractor is a 4240 and the other is a 4640, both run like new. that 42 sure is puny with the loaded grain...

    Off topic-gas powered wood splitters

I have a 24 ton unit (8hp) manufactured by SPECO out of Colorado, I think. Just got finished running three tanks of gas thru it. I think that is Special Industries Inc. Think about that feature of being able to stand the cylinder viertically. Without that I would never be able to split much...

    430 Clutch problems

If it was working properly to mean both the live pto and trans clutch, it could very well be a bent rod as stated. Since things went south in a hurry she will have to be split - me thinks.

430 hard to start slow to spin over

deerjockey I got the same thing going on with a 420W. I am down to two last things to try. 1. run a seprate cable from the starter case to the gound on the battery. 2. Blame the starter and ts the money in tht direction. I have heard a lot of other dubuques crank, but none as sluggish and...

Rear Axle Bearing Race Removal - JD B

the welder is the way to go. Take the work and consternation out of it. I hav't done many races that way and none on a B but the ones that had the bead welded on them did not need pullig to remove.

    420 Air Cleaner Hose

Are all 420's the same? A while back I went to the JD Dealer and what I got was a generic 90 degree elbow with about a foot on each end. You just had to whck it to length. Fit like a glove

tractor 430 to loader 35 hookup

Harold Confirm that the loader you have has a hydraulic bucket and that the two valves on the loader are bolted to each other. Also do you have the original antique valves on the loader or are they a modern two spool set up?
