Do I need a gasket sealer?

I like a very light amount of sealer just on one side of the gasket to hold it in place. Some use the old Indian Head shellac by Permatex, some use weatherstrip adhesive, some use RTV.....

720 Belt pulley and Right side cover gasket

I'm having a hard time pinning down the part numbers for a couple gasket. In the manual I have, they seem to come in a kit and are not individually identified. Anyone know what part number the following gaskets would be for a 720 LP Belt pulley - circular shaped gasket behind the plate you...

    720 Clutch slide grease

I'm waiting on service manuals for my 720. Could anyone tell me the procedure to thoroughly clean and lubricate the clutch slide mechanism, dogs, toggles, etc? Mine is an early model and does not have the grease zerk for the slide. Also, what kind of job is it to remove and inspect the roller...

    Clutch T Bolts

Anyone make there own clutch T bolts out of regular bolts? Seems like one could shape the head (weld on some material if need be) and drill the cross holes a heck of a lot cheaper than $40 each.

Anyone out there using Chinese tractor tires?

Looking at ebay for some 6.00-16 tri ribs. I see some pretty low prices for tires - "Road Warrior" "Samson" "Firestone Regency" Any of these any good? I'm worried that will quickly degrade and crack??

720 clutch belt pulley grease zerk

On the inside of the belt pulley, I've seen some have a grease zerk that greases the dogs? Maybe the roller bearing too? - did some come out with no zerk? I can't find the zerk or any indication that one broke off - no hole. I assume you just have to grease things he hard way by disassembling...

To help with repairing my old LP 720 (Serial number 720XXXX - what are the most valuable manuals to own and where to buy? Hoping to eliminate redundant questions on this site and make the repair process better. I've seen a combo pack from Jensales - Service, Parts, and Operator manuals, but...

    720 LP Clutch pulley assembly

I have been searching for a replacement clutch pulley assembly for my 720 LP. I need everything from the crankshaft out - are there any suppliers of reproductions or is this just a salvage yard part? I’ve seen assemblies for 620 but not 720. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

    720 Battery cable

Is the ground supposed to just run a short distance and bolt to the battery box or is it supposed to run to a more substantial ground? The diagram I'm looking at shows the ground shooting off but stops with just the ground symbol. It appears these tractors were positive ground from the factory...

    720 LP Coil

I do not, but plan to order - ok to use a 6 volt coil that says "No external resistor needed" or does it require one that says "External resistor required"
