    880 diesel intake manifold

    Is there an intake manifold from a different oliver which would bolt onto my tractor. Would like a few more horsepower, and my mechanic told me that it gets plenty of fuel but needs more air. If possible I would like to get a manifold that would bolt on without and modification. Thanks...

    Oliver 880 diesel

    1958, Roosa Master, pump and injectors were rebuilt. Turns just below 2000 rpm. Lots of black smoke when the going gets tough. I know I could offset grind the crank and get different rods and pistons but that sounds like a lot of money to pull for fun. Just want to make the red tractors work...

    I pull in a few local fairs, no money involved. I would like to get another few hp out of this tractor. Mechanic told me that it is getting plenty of fuel but needs more air. Would a different intake manifold help and is there one from another model that would just bolt on? Other...

    880 diesel starting

    Starts better when hot but still needs full throttle.

    880 diesel starting

    Tractor is 1958. Temp usually 70-80. It has a manifold heater. Never tried to start in cooler temps, 40-60 degrees. It does smoke a lot, blue smoke. Good fast cranking, rebuilt starter and 850 amp hour battery. Original injection pump was rebuilt recently. Thanks.

    Engine starts best when throttle is wide open and still have to crank it a lot. Is this normal or is there a problem. Thanks.

    My 880 has dual hydraulics. Can I run a wood splitter which has its own hydraulic control and how would I connect the outlets. Thanks.

    880 charging ?

    Sat for 6 weeks and battery is dead. Towed it and started right up. Gauge shows not charging. Next time I tow start it is charging. Started several times during the day from the battery. Last time I started it, not charging. Any Ideas on what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

    Were all oliver tractors painted the same green or were there different shades of green used over the years. I know there were a limited number of 880 tractors that were mist green. Thanks

    contacting floyd county

    Floyd County Historical Society. (641) 228-1099. They asked for money ($20.00 if I recall correctly). I sent money and s/n. They sent a large envelope. Money well spent IMHO.

    Oliver 880 weight loss

    I want to pull in 5000 lb. class. Can someonr tell me the weight of the hydraulic unit, the pto and the cast front wheels. I think I can remove 600 lbs. by using pressed steel rear wheels. Any other suggestions for weight reduction? Thanks. Don
