    carb.

    Working on carb on 620 wondering about the float needle valve after putting it on float pin it seems to fit loosely is that the way it should be or am I missing a small o ring or spring inside there?

    2640 won't start

    I had a 2940 that did the same thing my problem was the safety switch underneath the plate by the gear shift levers just unplugged it and cleaned it worked fine after that.

    620 starter

    I had starter rebuilt on tractor trying to put it back on I can not get it to slide thru opening. I think the arm on the starter switch is not lining up to come thru top opening. Any ideas or suggestions how to hold that bracket up high enough to get it thru. I had it off years ago and did not...

    148 loader

    I used a 148 loader for many years very happy with it. Just traded tractors is only reason I do not have it anymore. It was on a 2940 tractor.

    Jd 620 gears shift

    Have jd 620 can only move gearshift between about two gears wondering what I will find and what to look for after I remove cover over gears? Thanks for any and all ideas.

    2840

    I ran a 2940 for over 15 years with a 148 loader found it to be a great machine. Also planted corn beans with it. Used it every day as chore tractor Wondering what you hated about it.

    Thanks for all ideas. Wondering what is the eastiest way to check if engine is free. We are new at this Thank again.

    Tractor has fairly new batteries when we turn on key gauges work but it will not turn over. I believe the starter is trying to engage. Tractor has been sitting a while. Any suggestions?
