    1950 SC Cases Radiator

I have removed the bolts from the radiator supports on the front and I have loosened the clamps on the top and bottom radiator hoses. I suppose that I just need to loosen the hoses themselves by turning them and hopefully I will be able to pull the radiator out then.

    1950 SC Cases Radiator

I do not have any experience working on Case tractors buy I do have a 1950 SC Case with a leaky radiator. I have drained all of the antifreeze, removed the grill and the hood. I need to remove the radiator so I can get it re-cored. It doesn't look like any other radiator set-up that I have ever...

    Early Ford 8N Goveror

I have an early Ford 8N with the front distributor serial number 8N-7006. The tractor runs great but he governor housing cracked and was leaking oil. This tractor does not have a proof meter. I checked online and could only find governors designed for a proof meter. However, the description of...

    Antique Farm Wagons

When I was growing up on the farm in the 50's and 60's it seems that every farm had at least one "barge" style wagon with removable end gates and sides. This allowed you to haul ear corn when the sides and ends were in place and to haul baled hay when the sides and ends were remove. All of...

    CC Case Water Pump

I did examine the Pulley Assembly closer and there is a small bolt that you can remove along with a small piece of threaded material. Once you do this, you can unscrew the back side of the pulley which widens the V groove. I have the two pieces assembled now (the pulley assembly and the water...

    Unstyled John Deere Model B

I always turn the gas off at the sediment bulb and let the tractor run until it is out of gas. Sometimes I get a very loud backfire just before it runs out of gas. Any ideas? Carburetor? Sticky exhaust valve?

    CC Case Water Pump

Thanks again. It looks the same but I do not remember seeing a set screw on the pulley. I will check that out and let you know. As far as how snug it is, when I slide the pulley assembly on the water pump shaft, the threads barely come through. I have to hit it with a rubber mallet to get it to...

    CC Case Water Pump

That does help and I appreciate it very much. My question at this point is; when installing the fan belt pulley assembly to the water pump shaft, how tight should this be? My fan belt pulley assembly fits very tight when trying to slide it onto the shaft. Is this normal? How is the best way to...

    Allis B Magneto - Fairbanks Morris J

It seems to me that keeping any of these old machine running smoothly is a challenge. I have a lot of different brands and that makes it more difficult. However, I grew up on a 1937 Allis WC and that is something that never leaves you. I still have that old tractor. It has a full set of...

    Allis B Magneto - Fairbanks Morris J

Thank you so much, I am glad to have this confirmed. I have never seen an old tractor where the number 1 cylinder spark plug was wired into anything but the number 1 on the mag and I was at a loss for awhile. However, logic prevails and it made sense to me that other arrangements would work...
