    I'm about to buy a 500b backhoe parts machine to break down for parts. My question is about the PowerShift Trans. I belive the casings are different but I am unsure. But I was hoping the planetary was the same as a 4020 if any one could shed some light. Thanks

    Thanks Tim. What do you think is a reasonable price to get a crank checked ? Honestly my othe concern is I have heard rumors of problems with the local shops crank grinder being "off".

    moving 71 4320 wheels

    We use an electric jack hammer on the end of the axel. It's amazing the wheels just fall apart. We bought one just for this but if you only have it to do this time home depot rents them for around thirty dollars for four hours. It save a lot of cussing and back breaking- Joel

    Thanks for the leads. I haven't pulled mine out yet but in all the jd 3010/3020 cranks I have seen, and it's been a bunch I have come across one that spun and didnt crack so I'm not to optimistic. Dose anyone know if a 500b backhoe loader has the same engine or at least crank?
