    I did replace the paper element filter but the original paper label mentioned to use D1400 element cleaner I was going to keep this as a spare so I just used a detergent and water.

    I did the job myself and it wasn’t too bad and one has to be careful not to damage the side panels as you point out. I still think MF should have hinged the hood as in the 35’s.

    To remove the hood probably requires assistance. I know the hood doesn’t tilt as in the 35’s but has anyone, after removing the 4 screws near the dash, loosened the 2 bolts at the front and tied a tether to say the steering wheel and tried to tilt it forward? The problem is that there is no one...

    I bought online a lengthy parts book for the 135 tractor. On page 144, it shows part 1035350M91 and calls it a jet assembly. Whatever it does, I have one on my Zenith carb.

    On my MF 135 with a Perkins engine, the parts manual shows a 'jet assembly (discharge))'. It is at the base of the Zenith carburetor. Does anyone know what it is for?

    I have to replace the hose between the air cleaner and the carburetor on a MF 135 Perkins gas. Is there an easy way to do this?

    MF hydraulic lift

    On my MF 135 with 750 hours, does anyone know why, on occasion, the lift does not work until I drive the tractor for a short period of time. This occurs rarely.

    My parts book says that for the Perkins gas and diesel engines, the part is 528418M91 . But for the Continental engine, it is 504677M91

    Issue with MF 35 backfiring

    My MF 135 was backfiring when I throttled down and someone on this forum told me to check the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe. I thought this strange but after replacing the gasket and tightening the bolts, the backfire stopped.
