    3pt disk for TO20

You ask if it"ll pull it. Yes - but will it lift it? If it does, steering will be awful light. I doubt my TO would lift my two gang discs. If the ground is hard & weights are needed, the TO certainly wouldn"t lift the weight - which is why I use my 135 for discing.

Tried to get one almost 20 yrs ago - no luck. Ended up fashioning one from a plow point.

    .020"? That"s a LOT. I"d be concerned at more than .003"

    6600 noise

My thanks to those who responded - have thankfully solved the dilemma. I"ll box my son"s ears when he gets back from college this Christmas - I lent the tractor to him for his last day at high school - and he"d left it in FWA. I"ve never needed to engage FWA except for short periods on soft...

    6600 noise

Sorry to post again, but original message is fast approaching end of 2nd page. I"m concerned about this suddenly appeared high pitched screech from gearbox - especially in 3H & 4H. It"s proportional to speed - DP in or out. Don"t want tractor to lock up on the road - or for me to strip it down...

    6600 gearbox noise

Bought a 6600 with Schindler FWA a few years ago. Gearbox was always noisy - lots of clatter - put it down to having a cab & being a Ford (my MF 135 gearbox is silent). Today, a new noise started - a high pitched screech proportional to revs / road speed. Barely noticeable in 1st & 2nd, but...

craigslist ad - how accurate is this?

I'm fairly sure Perkins suplied Ford with those motors. Having FOMOCO in the casting is no surprise if it was supplied under contract.

Followup - TW35 fuel useage (chopping corn)

Reckon you"d not be so delighted if working the other side of the "pond" where fuel is approx $7 per (US) gallon. There"s nothing magical about fuel usage - you get near as dammit 20 hp per hour per gallon (imperial this time). Only major variants are likely to be two strokes (Detroit diesels etc).

    to 20 grinding

you might try slackening off the starter whilst it"s running - could prove a point. Chech the water pump pulley is not rubbing on a mounting bolt. If none of the above, maybe the cam nut is loose.

    Oil Pump - which brand

Agree - the alloy gear is a joke. I used a kit (from a different site - this one won"t export)and the old steel gear. I drilled the shaft / gear (as they were now similar material) and pinned it.

    Rear Axle Bearing Removal

if you heat the inner race, you'll be able to spread it with a cold chisel (as if you were trying to cut it along the line of the axle shaft). Probably one hit will spread it enough to slide off. When heating an inner race like this, apply a lot of heat for a short period - the longer you heat...

Ford Industrial or Marine Engine Parts

What sort of engine? diesel? gas? 4D? 6D? 2700 series? diesel conversion of gas engine (eg watermota)? What sort of pump? (for example, the 2700 series had at least 4 different pumps depending on manufacturer, type of oil pan fitted, turbo or NA, etc.

Two way plow (roll over plow)

Huard made a plow that worked as you describe. Had to work with the top link loose, or it wouldn"t "load" ready for end of row turn over. Of course, this meant the tractor"s draft system was inoperative, and therefore best used with position control.
