    12 volt coil for 8N--resistor?

    Early 8N (front distrib.) with 12 volt system: the coil is shot--got overheated. If I get a new 12 volt coil (over the distributor type) is a resistor necessary? If so, what bad happens if I don't use a resistor?

    8N Ford 1938 V8 Flathead

    I just sold my 8N 60 HP V-8 to a fella in Florida. Hated to see it go, but what do you do with a hotrod tractor?! My 60 was putting out about 75 HP when I got through with it. Looked good with Offy aluminum finned heads (Ebay purchase) and dual exhaust. Installed a Sherman to gear it down...

    8N steering box lube install??

    Got a late 8N that I can't figure how to get lube in the steering box. Can't see any filler port or plug. Help!

    GP/GPO oil filter body--pressure

    Problem solved! Added some washers to the pressure relief spring and the redhead comes clear up, and a low pressure gauge I plumbed into the top of the oil filter body shows 7-8 lbs. pressure. :)
